Peri Peri Chicken
with Red Peppers and Pomme Purée

Did you know the name peri peri means “pepper pepper” in Swahili? Originally from South Africa and Portugal, this peppery, flavourful dish is now beloved by many! This recipe smothers chicken in an incredibly flavourful homemade peri peri sauce, which also coats the chicken in a beautiful color. Enjoy this mild dash of heat peri peri dish with a side of creamy mashed potatoes!
Ingredients: Mashed potatoes (yukon mashed potatoes, whole milk, butter, salt, natural flavour, nisin preparation), Chicken thigh boneless skinless, Bell red pepper, Spanish onion, Olive oil, Hot sauce (aged cayenne red peppers, distilled vinegar, water, salt, garlic powder), Paprika, Garlic, Garlic powder, Onion powder, Sugar (granulated sugar), Black pepper, Thyme, Salt.
Contains: Milk.

Cooking Instructions
- In a large non-stick pan, add the contents of the chicken and sauce pouch with 1/2 cup of water. Cook over medium heat for 8-9 minutes, stirring frequently.
- In a second non-stick pan, add the contents of the mashed potatoes pouch, and cook on medium heat for 5-6 min, stirring occasionally until warmed through.
- Plate the butter chicken alongside the rice.
- Plate the chicken alongside the mashed potatoes, and enjoy!
